Kitchen

After taking a few more sips, Emi began walking away silently, glass in hand.

"Ah-ah! Stop," Ame moved to stand in her way. "You need to eat something."

"I cannot," Emi stated dully. "You have done enough, Ame, and for that I... thank you. Please leave now and let me rest."

He narrowed his eyes at her.
"Leave? How can I?! Have you even looked at yourself? I'm surprised you can speak a full sentence without collapsing!"

"Do not yell, please," Emi walked past Ame and away calmly.

"Wh- Hey!" he growled and rushed after her.

"Emi?" Nana blinked as Emi entered the Kitchen. She was at the table, doing a crossword. "Don't tell me you were outside in this weather?"

Emi smiled gently at her housekeeper, walking over to the cupboard and pulling out two cups, a teapot, and a small tray.
"It was nice outside, earlier..."

Nana glanced at the door, brow raising slightly.
"Is there someone with you?"

"A friend," Emi replied after a pause, putting water to boil so as to use it for making Tea.

"I see," Nana nodded, turning her gaze back to Emi. "That's my job you're doing."

Emi turned slightly, offering another smile.
"It is fine. You always do everything else around here. Besides, I would rather do it myself, please."

"Because it's my job," Nana repeated with a roll of her eyes, but let the matter drop.

Emi took her set of Tea aromas and set it on the tray along with the two cups, and the teapot as water boiled. She also placed a couple of cookies in a small bowl and put it on the tray as well, and left the kitchen.

Emi walked in, washed the cups and the teapot quickly, and then walked out again in silence.
