*wanders into the kitchen*
*sees Nana cooking*
I do not know what you are making, but it smells wonderful.

*sees Emi and smiles*
Rousseau-san! Are you hungry?

*nods*
A little... but please, I have asked you to call me Emi.

*taps forehead in thought*
That's right, you have asked me that, haven't you?

*shakes head in amusement*
Do you need any help?

No, thank you, I'm almost done.

I could set the table at least..

Ah, no, Rouss- I mean, Emi-san. You're not supposed to.. I.. that's what I'm here for!

Nana-san, it's fine.
*smiles*
*goes to the dining room to set the table*

*sighs and shrugs, then goes back to cooking*

*comes in and pours herself a glass of water*
*sits on the counter and slowly sips water*

*comes in and smiles*
Emi, my dear. I have been looking for you.

*smiles back and waits for her Grandfather to continue*

I have received an invitation from Paris, to attend a Music Festival and to conduct. I will go, and I have spoken with your mother, asking her if you can come along. She agreed to let you stay at her mansion for the night we will be spending there.

*nods*
That would be great.
*gets of the counter and hugs him*
Thank you, Grandfather.

*laughs*
It was nothing, dear one. Now run along. I can only imagine how eager you are to inform your friends of this.

*grins and runs off to her room*

*comes back in and starts prepairing breakfast*

*comes in and sees Nana prepairing breakfast*
Hey, Nan.. thanks for the tea..
*calmly washes the cup*

*Nana smiles and nods*

I am going to have a shower..

*Nana nods again as I leave the room*

Emi slips in and grabs an apple from the fridge, then walks out.

Emi walked down silently and wiped her eyes of any tears that might have snuck there, then peeked in and glanced at Nana.

"Nana? Could you make some soup, please? I have a friend over and she is... unwell."

Nana glanced up, blinking.
"Of course. Is your friend ok?"

She started gathering ingredients for the soup.
"Who is it?"

Emi bit her lip softly, trying to keep her voice from shaking.
"It is Anju. Just.. please call me when you are done."

With that, Emi turned around and left the kitchen shakily, not noticing Nana's worried eyes glancing after her.

Emi walked in and took the tray, muttering "Thank you, Nana," as she was leaving the kitchen.

Nana sighed, deciding to save questions for later, and retreated to her own room.

Emi walked in silently. She grabbed a glass from the cupboard and filled it with water, then took a small sip.

Ame walked in after Emi, keeping an eye on her.
