Baku sits in one of the dark cells his gaze to the floor.

Baku glares upwards feeling something evil.
"You dare come out, I will kick your ass"

Baku shivers lightly and crosses his arms looking downward in rage.

Baku reaches in his pocket pulling out the glowing artifact and he looks sick throwing it to the floor.
"Becauses of you! My life is pretty like crap!"

Baku glares to the glowing artifact.
"Why are you quiet!?! Say something!?!"

Baku glares at it his brown-ish gray eyes some what hurt.

Baku gasps seeing his dark counter part and he stands up lightly scared.
"So, you finally decided to show yourself!"

Baku looks to his darker self who seems pretty pissed.
"You treat my artifact with so little respect!?!"

Baku glares at him.
"I respected you all this time! I'm always depressed and sad! You told me if I lock myself up no one would want anything to do with me! Then! Then! Why do they still care!"

Baku gasps getting punched in the face his darker self grabbing a hold of his collar.
"How dare you speak to me in such a tone!?! Give it time you worthless waste!?!"

Baku goes silent his white hair over his face.

Baku glances to his darker self who smacked his face turning it away again.
"Listen boy!?! Don't forget who so carefully helped you? I'm letting you borrow half of my soul for crying out loud!?!

Baku spits some blood out and glares to him.
"I know, I lost my soul and will to live when my parents died. I remember that."

Baku closes his eyes tightly getting shaked by his darker self who has a firm grip on his collar.
"That's right! Don't forget who helped you! None of those people helped you as much as I have! No one cares about you! They may act like it now but they will leave you for dead soon!

Baku nods silently his hair still over his face, his cheek bruised as well as his lip.

Baku drops to the floor when his darker self dropped him.
"What...should I do about Emi....and Anju as well as that boy?"

Baku glances up to his darker self who is looking down at him his arms crossed.
"Don't do anything to them yet, they will not last long anyway. They may care now but they will give up and want nothing to do with you."

Baku nods holding his cheek which is still sore, his gaze looks up to his darker self who had vanished and all their is, is the artifact.

Baku sighs slowly standing up and picking up the nonglowing artifact and walks back upstairs his gaze hurt.

Baku steps in and a glow forms from whitin his pocket, his eyes then glow red.
"Heh..."

Emi follows him in silently, then stands still and looks at him calmly.

"So, we meet again.."

Baku's eyes glow more red his arms cross in humor.
"Well wanting to talk to me eh? I should feel honored"

Baku flips his hair back showing a evil smirk.

"Not at all," she sates calmly. "I have simply come to ask you a question."

Baku chuckles darkly his eyes glow more red.
"Go ahead and ask, this should get interesting!"

Baku uncrosses his arms and draws out a pocket knife where he places it under his chin.

Her eyes narrow as he pulls out the knife, and she surpresses a wince as he puts it under his - no, Baku's - chin.

"I cannot say I expect you will answer honestly," Emi begins slowly. "Or that you will answer at all, but..."
She looks into his eyes fully.
"I shall ask you Spirit; What is the price of Baku's freedom?"

Baku laughs removing the knife from his neck.
"Freedom? Baku didn't want to live after his parents death, his soul slowly died but I gave him half of mine! There is no freedom for him! Heh"

Baku spins the knife in his palm his red eyes gleam more.
"Baku wants to be free, but he knows if he wants to be free he is going to have to kill me which means killing himself or something like that!"

Baku shrugs in humor.
"I am honestly uncertain how he could kill me though after all I saved him from going to kill himself!"

Emi nods slowly, her eyes going a bit distant as she begins talking quietly, mostly to herself.

"Baku's Soul, hmm... and this Spirit, combined? No.. 'It' says 'It' replaced Baku's Soul completely.. but then again, a Soul can never really die, as long as there is Heart and Will. Perhaps then..." she mutters a few more things quietly.

Baku spins his knife faster his red eyes gleam.
"Baku is pretty much doing what I tell him, he is apart of me"

Baku looks away and he smirks looking to her.
"Then you came along and he wants to be normal, I'm fed up with it! He can't be normal! That is how it is!"

"Ah, but.." Emi glances up at him again. "Can a Spirit like you really stop Baku from doing what he wants? I think not."

Baku's red eyes look to her and he laughs.
"Baku can't stop me! I'm all that he has! I'm pretty much the only one that helped him through the hard times unlike you."

"'It' says 'It' is all Baku has. 'It' does not realize, Baku is all 'It' has now..." she crosses her arms over her chest. "As for me not helping Baku before.. there is no helping it, seeing I have only met Baku recently. Important thing is, I am here 'now'."

Baku smirks and he cuts his finger and licks the blood off his eyes red.
"Yeah now, where were you when his parent's died? Where were you when he got back stabbed and framed? Eh?"

Baku darkly chuckles his eyes closed.
"It and It? Interesting way of putting that, but if Baku really wants freedom he is going to have to kill me or make a new soul that is not lifeless."

"It would seem you are not listening to what I am saying, and clinging to my every word in hopes to make me guilty," her eyes narrow again. "You are correct, I was not there for Baku, because I did not know Baku. Had I known him, perhaps things would be different. But there is no point debating on the past."

"I say 'It', because that is what you are. And thruth is... 'It' is the one who is helpless, not Baku. Baku simply does not realize this, as his mind probably dwells on the lies you have told him."

Baku's red eyes gleam more and he frowns.
"Hm"

Baku smirks and closes his eyes but his smile is evil.
"Now, that wasn't very nice. Besides, Baku is mine he needs me."

Baku glares and slams his fist into the wall of a cell making a crack in it, he then glares to Emi.
"Lies? To Baku that was the truth and if he were to break from me he would not forget the ways I've told him!"

"'It' needs Baku, just as much as Baku needs 'It' then," Emi tries compromising. "But this is only for the time being. If Baku realizes he does not need you, you will die and he will not. Look, I have not come here to fight with you. There is no need to kill you for Baku to be free, you can both live separately."

Baku frowns to her.
"Live? I'd die!"

Baku looks down his red eyes not as bright in color.
"Baku made me! He is apart of the world of shadows...one day he will stay in there....one day..."

Baku smirks evilly.

"You do not get it, do you?" she takes a step towards him, placing one hand on his shoulder, and poking his chest with the other as she stares into his chest. "'It' is in here, but so is Baku's Soul. If 'It' dies, Baku can still live. But if Baku dies, so will 'it'."

Emi glances up and looks into his eyes.
"But! There is a way to perserve your Soul as well."
