Living Room/Kitchen

Basically the mess room, its where Maeko's father scatters his work. He has many unfinished canvases, and tends to go from one to the other.

The kitchen is in the back of the room(Connected to the living room), very small, and Maeko tends to be the cook of the house, considering her father might set the place on fire if he even tried.

This is the first room you enter in the house.

*Maeko comes in from the front door and her father looks up from his painting and smiles warmly*

"Hey Pumpkin!" *He then goes back to his painting*

"Bonjour."

*Maeko returns the smile, even though he wasn't looking, then she makes her way to her bedroom*

*Maeko walks out and glares at her father*

"I don't want to."

*Mr. Akiyama sighs and goes back to his painting* "Sorry pumkin, but I already told you, your not gonna spending all your time at home anymore. Is one friend really that bad?"

*Maeko stands there for a moment, then grabs her bag, and walks out, not wanting to argue*

Mr. Akiyama smiles victoriously, hearing the front door slam, and he continues painting*

*walks in from the front door and heads straight to her room*

*Mr. Akiyama is too busy painting to notice*

*walks out of her bedroom and heads into the kitchen, pulling frozen meat out of the freezer and setting it in the sink to thaw*

"Is steak okay for you tonight dad?" *She walks out of the kitchen and over to her father*

"Hm?" *glances from his work for a moment* "Oh yes, of course, that's fine." *goes back to painting*

*nods and walks towards the door*

"Well the meat has to thaw, so I'll be back in a little while."

*walks out, quietly closing the door behind her*

*walks in through the front door and sets book down, then heads into the kitchen and grabs the now thawed meat. Maeko sets it in a pan and sets it on the stove. Turns the stove on then starts searching through the fridge for some other kind of food to go with the steak*

*Is passed out on the couch*

*starts getting some salad ready to go with the steak*

*snorts in sleep, and turns over in sleep* "I smellz food..."

*finishes dinner and readies two plates for both her and her father*

"Dinner's ready father!"

*starts eating quietly*

"Where'd you get steak like this? I may be a slouch, but I at least know our financial situation." *stuffs a bit of steak in his mouth*

*tenses up slightly and continues eating, not wanting to answer his question*

*narrows eyes and stops eating* "You took money from your mother again, didn't you?"

*glances to her father calmly meeting his gaze*

"We need the money dad."

"How many times have I told you not to take the easy way out? If you want to help this family, then start by getting a job*

*bites her tongue to hold back a rude comment and continues eating*

"Alright dad."

*sighs and finishes eating, then takes care of his plate and heads into his room*

*closes eyes for a moment as she finishes eating, then does the same as her father, retiring to her own room*

*walks out of her bedroom and retrieves an apple from the kitchen, then walks out the front door*

*walks in through the front door and goes into the kitchen, starting up on dinner*

3 more days... Hopefully I can survive this school...

*sighs and begins making dumplings*

*while letting the dumplings sit, she starts chopping veggies, only half paying attention*

I'll have to try and get a seat in the back of the classroom.

*suddenly lets out a cry of pain and drops the knife, grasping her index finger tightly*

*rushes in and looks to Maeko worriedly* "Are you alright pumpkin?!"

*mumbles through gritted teeth* "Its alright, just a small cut is all."

*grabs first aid kit and pulls out some bandaging*

"Here, let me help you-"

"No. I'm already done, thanks anyways..."

*shows him her bandaged finger then hands him his plate*

"Here."

*stares at her for a moment, then sighs and gently takes the plate and sits down at the table*

*smiles faintly, then grabs her own plate and retires to her room*

*walks out of room and sets plate in the sink, then walks out the front door after retrieving her sketch booklet*

*walks in through the front door and slams it shut, then carries notepad into her bedroom*
