Kitchen

Yuca laughed at mom she said.
"Well, I guess. As lucky as a person can be, right?" he said, smiling softly.

She nods, and eats.

Neko followed her to the kitchen. Nanaka pointed at him.
"Neko! Tomorrow were going to the beach!" She declared.
Neko blinked. SOmething was wrong with her? She never took him to the beach, unless he wanted to. he didn't want to go. Nanaka smiled, and got something out of the fridge.

"We should invite some people!" Nanaka said. "But who?"
she tapped her chin.
"Eh... I'll sleep on it." she said shrugging.
Neko just gave her a WTF look. Nanaka ignored it.

Nanaka walks into the kitchen. She sets Neko down, and takes out paper and a pen.
"Ok... what we need is..." she trails off, and writes down food that she needs.
She taps the pen on her chin, and writes.

She smiles, and puts the pen away. She grabbed her bag, and put's neko in the bag. She walks out the door, with the list, and Neko.

Nanaka walks in, and grabs some ice. She puts the ice in a towel, and holds the cold towel over her head. She sighs with satisfaction. She leans against the counter.

She looks out the window. She still holds the cold towel over her forehead.

Nanaka sighs, and walks upstairs to change her clothes.

Nanaka sighs, and washes the dishes. Yuki walks down, and yawns.
"What's for breakfast, kid?" she asked, siting down.
"Oh... I don't know... whatever you want." Nanaka says, softly.
Yuki blinks, and yawns.
"How about... waffles?" Yuki asked.
Nanaka grins, and nods.
"Sure. Waffles sound good." she says, and starts to take out the waffle maker.
"I'll help." Yuki offered, and jumps up.
Nanaka smiles, and nods.
"Sure, mom."

It was a slow day today, for Nanaka. Yuki helped out, but she mostly made a mess.
"mom! your suppose to try, and not get any egg shells in the batter." Nanaka pointed out.
Yuki huffs, and tries again. Nanaka sighs, and mixes her batter.

Nanaka now starts to slowly pour, the batter on the waffle maker. Yuki watches.
"Your very good that this, sweetie." Yuki says, smiling.
"Thanks." Nanaka says, smiling.
She closes the waffle maker.
"Now we wait for it to ding." Nanaka explained.

Nanaka and Yuki sit at the table, and wait. Nanaka looks out the window, and thinks. Yuki just stares at the waffle maker. Her stomach growling.
"Just wait." Nanaka says, not looking away from the window.
Yuki blinks, and nods. Something is bothering her... but what? Yuki wonders.
"Nanaka... what's wrong?" Yuki asked, not wanting to make her daughter mad, by asking this question.
Nanaka shrugs.
"Nothing, it's a just a lazy day, today." Nanaka explains.
Yuki nods, and knew that this probably wasn't it, but she didn't want to push the question any further. The waffle maker dings, and Yuki's mouth is already drooling. Nanaka quickly rushes over to the maker, and smiles at their work.
"It turned out great mom." Nanaka says, happy.
Yuki grabs plates, and passes two plates to Nanaka. Nanaka takes the plates.
"How many?" She asked.
"Four." Yuki says.
Nanaka puts four waffles on Yuki's plate, and hands it to her. Yuki smiles, and takes the plate. She sits at the table. Nanaka puts two on her plate, and takes out the maple syrup, and sits down, across from her mother. They begin to eat... in silence.

Nanaka finishes first, and stands up.
"I'm going out." Nanaka says, and places her dishes in the dish washer.
Yuki blinks, and isn't done yet.
"Ok, and i might stay late again, sweetie." Yuki points out.
Nanaka nods, and leaves.
